Dear Students, here are some resources you can access in SLS / via the websites to support your learning.
For students to pursue their own interests and learn outside of the curriculum:
HyperPhysics
Website: http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/hbase/index.html
A clear map showing each domain in Physics and how related concepts branch out from the domains. Students are able to explore freely as one concept leads to many others. Within the topics which are familiar, students are able to learn new concepts beyond the textbook such as momentum, orbits, heat engines, polarization etc.
Apps on Physics by Walter Fendt
Website: https://www.walter-fendt.de/html5/phen/
This is a free to use website with a comprehensive list of simulations. Students can try out different simulations to reinforce learning and explore concepts outside of the textbook.
Universe More: Crack the Circuit
Website: https://www.universeandmore.com/crack-the-circuit/
An interactive game which challenges students to create circuits based on the scenario. Students will strengthen their circuit construction abilities in an enjoyable way. There are 18 stages to the game.
The Feynman Lectures on Physics
Website: https://www.feynmanlectures.caltech.edu
A series of Physics textbooks by Richard Feynman, a Nobel-prize winning theoretical physicist who is known for his excellence in teaching. Suitable for motivated students who want to gain a deeper insight into Physics (e.g., Volume I, Chapter 4, Conservation of Energy).
