Mother Tongue Fortnight Activities
MTL Fortnight activities are carried out yearly by the Mother Tongue Department. Students taking the Mother Tongue languages are given opportunities to experience the different facets of the MTL language and culture.
A series of fun filled activities are lined up for P1 to P6 students taking Tamil language. For two weeks, activities on learning one’s culture are integrated in their Mother Tongue Language lessons. Students also had the chance to experience hands-on activities in class and during recess.

Annual Tamil Language Competition
This competition was introduced in 2009 . It aims to provide a platform for our students to showcase their proficiency in spoken Tamil Language. The competition is held in the month of July and is in conjunction with the Mother Tongue Fortnight .

Learning Journey to Woodlands Regional Library
This year Primary 3 and Primary students went to the Woodlands Regional library for a learning journey during their Mother Tongue fortnight. They had an opportunity to visit Tamil Cholai. Tamil Cholai or Tamil garden houses the largest collection of Tamil reading materials in Singapore.
