NJC, Singapore’s first Junior College, was founded in 1969 with a strong commitment to nurturing diverse talents, particularly in STEM and research excellence. Over the years, the college has expanded its intake and programs, offering a wide array of opportunities to develop students’ intellectual curiosity and research capabilities.

Students at NJC are exposed to research training from a young age, equipping them with the skills to investigate, analyze, and innovate across disciplines such as Science, Engineering, Humanities, and Social Sciences. As they progress, students can deepen their expertise through enrichment programs, advanced research modules, and Higher 3 Research, gaining valuable experience in independent inquiry and problem-solving.

To support these endeavors, NJC has established advanced research infrastructure, including the Sigma Laboratory, providing students with the tools and environment to engage in modern experimentation and discovery. By fostering a strong research culture, NJC remains dedicated to developing future scientists, engineers, and thought leaders who will shape advancements in STEM and beyond.
