Placement at Secondary 3 depends on:
student’s order of choice
student’s academic merit
availability of school resources
Compulsory Subjects
All students must offer the following subjects in upper secondary:
English Language
Mother Tongue Languages
Humanities
Mathematics
Science
By default, students will offer all their compulsory subjects at the same subject level as that offered in lower secondary. Students who attain at least 75% for the overall in individual subjects qualify to offer the specific subject at a more demanding level (MDL). Eligible students will be informed and advised accordingly.
Elective Subjects
For elective subjects, students must meet the qualifying criteria before being considered for placement. This is to ensure that you have the capacity to meet the rigorous subject demands at Upper Secondary. For these subjects, students are to ensure that your score meets the qualifying criteria before selection.
