Allocation Process
Subject combinations will be allocated based on merit and available vacancies:

Merit
Initially, students will be ranked according to their overall academic performance.
Subsequently, students will be assigned their preferred subject combinations in the sequence of their selection, granted they fulfill all the necessary prerequisites.
Available vacancies
If the maximum number of students for a particular subject combination** has been reached, students will be assigned to their subsequent choice#.
If all three choices are not successful, the school will assign an appropriate subject combination based on the student's academic strengths.
** Every year, the allowable enrollment size for subject combinations will be adjusted based on the demand from students who fulfill the necessary prerequisites.
# Limited vacancies are available for elective subjects like Design & Technology (D&T) and Nutrition & Food Science (NFS), mainly due to the specialized facilities they require. To make the most of their selection options, students are strongly encouraged to choose distinct elective subjects for their 3 available choices. This precautionary measure is taken to prevent a scenario where, if the first choice is unsuccessful due to a "no vacancy" situation, the subsequent 2 choices would also face the same outcome of being unsuccessful.
