Riverside Model United Nations

As part of our Applied Learning Programme, The Riverside Model United Nations (RsMUN) is a signature event for our Secondary 3 Riversidians. Through the conference, students develop evidence-based arguments on local current issues and communicate their views to their peers. Watch this video to find out more about what our RSMUN entails!
Personalised Digital Learning Programme
Personalised Digital Learning Programme
The Personalised Digital Learning Programme at Riverside aims to empower students to be self-directed learners who have the motivation and drive to pursue learning. We also want to nurture collaborative learners who connect with others to develop collective knowledge space. PDLP @Riverside works in tandem with Riverside iExperience, a collection of programmes that provides a holistic approach in developing students’ digital literacies and cultivating healthy habits in the use of technology. Riverside iExperience takes reference from and integrates the goals of the National Digital Literacy Programme (NDLP) and the CCE 2021 syllabus to guide Riversidians into becoming proficient and responsible digital learners.

Riverside Integrated Skills Programme
Every year, Riversidians take a hiatus from their lessons to learn and develop skills such as leadership and teamwork. Through authentic learning experiences, students get to learn about the importance of values such as resilience and empathy. Work Experience Programme
Work Experience Programme
Here at Riverside Secondary School, we believe in helping our students find that passion in life. It is our hope that they enter industries where they are excited to contribute to and effect change in. Thus one of our signature programmes is the wide array of work experience attachments that we are able to provide through the multiple partnerships that we have fostered with different institutions and organisations, ranging form the Singapore Zoo to Tan Tock Seng Hospital, over the years.

During the pandemic, our work experience programmes pivoted online with professionals from various industries (healthcare, early childhood, IT/media) conduct sharing sessions with our Riversidians to give them an insight into their careers. We are looking forward to resuming our face-to-face programmes in 2023.

At Riverside, we believe that every individual continues to learn and grow their talents and interests even after they've long left formal education institutions. The genesis of that curiosity must, however, be nurtured from an early age! Thus, we are proud that our Learning for Life programme centers around the arts and aesthetics - the finer things in life.
