Sec 1 students engage in a team-based exploration of the Sports Hub using a race format, applying the knowledge they had acquired from their Outdoor Education module in an unfamiliar context. This experience allowes them to practise skills such as navigation and risk assessment.
Additionally, students will have the opportunity to visit the Sports Museum, where they will delve deeper into the role of sports in nation-building. They will be able to gain insights on how sports can promote active and healthy lifestyles among Singaporeans, as well as the pivotal role played by the Sports Hub in inspiring greater participation in sports within the Singaporean community.
The PE Department collaborates with service providers to deliver high-quality sports programs for the students according to their interests. Students have been exposed to activities such as Bowling and Archery Tag with the intention of enhancing their sports skills and knowledge and encouraging active participation in sports.
Furthermore, we aspire to foster teamwork, character development, and a sustained interest in sports participation among our students through these programmes.
