1. How many classes of students in Posting Group 1, 2 and 3 will there be in Sec 1 2026?
For Sec 1 2026, there will be 8 classes of students, with a mix of students from different posting groups in the same form class.
2. Does the school offer Higher Mother Tongue?
Yes, we offer Higher Mother Tongue (Higher Chinese, Higher Tamil and Higher Malay) in PL.
For other languages, students will have to take the lessons at either a school centre or the language centre (at Newton and Bishan):
Malay Special Programme (MSP) as 3rd language - Zhonghua Sec
Chinese Special Programme (CSP) as 3rd language - Changkat Changi Sec
Students taking NTIL (non-Tamil Indian languages) will attend lessons at their respective centres.
3. Can my child opt to take Higher Mother Tongue in your school?
Eligible students may offer HMTL instead of MTL should they meet the following criteria.
● AL1/AL2 in MTL or
● Distinction/Merit in HMTL
4. Does the school offer Art Elective Programme (AEP) and Music Elective Programme (MEP)?
Students who are interested to offer AEP and MEP can apply to AEP/MEP Centres by completing an online application via this link from 2 Jan 2026 onwards:

5. What are the CCAs offered by PLMGS(Sec)?
PLMGS(Sec) offers about 20 CCAs, grouped into four categories:
1. Sports & Games:
Badminton, Netball, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Swimming, Table Tennis, Track & Field, Volleyball
2. Uniformed Groups:
Girls’ Brigade, National Police Cadet Corps, St John Brigade
3. Performing Arts:
Chinese Drama, Choir, Concert Band, English Drama, Guitar Ensemble, Guzheng Ensemble, Handbell Ensemble, Harp Ensemble, Modern Dance
4. Clubs & Societies:
Infocomm Technology (Media Production & Photography)
6. Can Successful DSA students accepted by another school appeal for admission into PL?
Successful DSA students are not allowed to participate in the S1 Posting Exercise to opt for secondary schools.
