Open-ended investigation on Oscillation using iOLab Devices (Part 2)Â
Open-ended investigation shifts from passive following of instructions to active scientific inquiry. This sharing is about the experience of using iOLab device to help students explore authentic real-world problems. By giving students agency to design, plan, execute and present their investigation, it fosters them to sense make real data and establish data-driven reasoning in making a claim.

While the rapid rise of AI can feel daunting, it also heralds a new era of pedagogical opportunity. This session explores field-tested strategies for integrating AI to enhance student outcomes and streamline educator workflows. From generating complex open-ended tasks and interactive simulations to maintaining robust teacher observation records, we will discuss how AI can serve as a powerful teaching assistant. We will also delve into using AI to introduce the Nature of Science and share insights from a collaborative project aimed at fostering critical AI literacy in our students.
