At Outram Secondary School, we believe that education is a shared journey. The Parent Support Group (PSG) is a vibrant community of parents working hand-in-hand with the school leadership, teachers, and staff to create a nurturing environment where our children can thrive.
Many Hands, One Heart.
To foster a vibrant partnership between home and school by connecting our community, supporting one another through the parenting journey, and cultivating a compassionate environment where every child can thrive.
We guide our initiatives through three core goals:
The Parent Support Group is led by a dedicated team of parent volunteers who coordinate events, manage communications, and liaise closely with the school administration.
(L to R): Ms Vivian Ong, Ms Julie Kwek, Ms Joleyn Leo, Ms Wahida Shariff and Ms Celia Tang
Every parent has something unique to offer! Whether you can spare an hour a month or want to take on a regular role, your presence makes a difference. We welcome volunteers in the following areas:
• Assist in school events and celebrations like National Day, Teacher's Day, and the annual Sports Carnival.
• Organise or initiate programmes, projects or parent engagement sessions (e.g. breakfast sessions).
• Support our Education and Career Guidance (ECG) initiatives by collaborating on workshops, talks or site visits that help students discover their strengths, purpose and future education pathways.
All parents of Outram Secondary School students are warmly invited to join us in our activities and events. Be part of a vibrant community that makes a difference.

Q: I am a working parent. Can I still join the PSG?
A: Absolutely! We have many working parents in our network. Support can come in many forms, from helping out at events and managing digital communications from home, to simply attending our engagement sessions. Every bit of support counts.
Q: How does the PSG communicate with members?
A: Once you join PSG, you’ll be added to a dedicated WhatsApp community where members can share tips, advice and insights to support one another throughout our children’s learning journey. You’ll also receive invitations to workshops, talks, programmes and opportunities to support school events and activities.
Q: Is there a membership fee to join the PSG?
A: No, joining the Outram SS PSG is completely free. We only request your time, enthusiasm, and support!
