Staff Email Groups
Purpose
The email groups are set up to enable higher efficiency for dissemination of information through email.
Good Practices for Mass Emailing
To ensure that mass emails do not adversely affect the end user experience and email system,
Put conscious thought into whom you are addressing your e-mail to. Do not waste others' time with messages that do not concern them. Be mindful when sending emails to groups like all_new_town_pri@moe.edu.sg (if your target group is only 30 people from a department, then 90 other staff have to delete your email which doesn't concern them)
Give clear and meaningful subject headings for your e-mail messages so that your recipients can easily file and retrieve them for future reference.
Be clear and concise.
Do not use all CAPS in your messages.
Prefix the subject of the e-mail with 'urgent' if it requires urgent attention.
When replying to a mass e-mail, please consider replying privately to the sender instead of 'reply all' if the content of the message is not meant for everyone.
