The NCC Experience Framework
As part of the New NCC Experience Framework, the NCC aims to contribute more effectively towards the desired outcomes of MOE and MINDEF by developing the character of our junior cadets early and preparing them to become responsible and empathetic leaders through the wide spectrum of events and courses. These events serve as yet another of the NCC’s contributions to youth development.
SSLC (Senior Specialist Leaders Course) :
Every year, the top 10 cadet leaders who have shown exceptional qualities of Cadet Strong will undergo a 3 day and 2 night residential camp at NCC HQ to test their limits and develop their teamwork through military based activities to help them learn and obtain the skill set needed to lead their unit as NCC's future leaders. Through the completion of the camp, they will obtain the Staff Sergeant rank and come back stronger and mentally ready for the upcoming challenges of leading their school unit.
March Initiation Camp:
Every year, the 3D2N residential Initiation Camp is held during the march holidays, taking place directly after the school's annual Cross Country run. It will be held within the school campus. There, cadets will undergo drills, physical training, and fun activities, to push them to their limits and test their endurance and capabilities. Secondary three Cadet Leaders will be able to hone their leadership skills to better prepare them when they take over and run the unit. At the very end of the camp, a ceremony will be held for the Secondary one Junior Cadets who will be presented their Private ranks and are officially initiated into the unit.
