These awards celebrate educators who inspire learning, nurture character, and contribute
meaningfully to the profession.
National Day Award
The National Day Awards are conferred by the Government of Singapore to recognise individuals who have rendered exemplary service to the nation. In education, these awards honour educators whose dedication, leadership, and service have made a meaningful impact on students, schools, and the wider community.
The Long Service Award recognises educators who have served in the education service with dedication and commitment over an extended period. It honours sustained contributions to teaching, student development, and school operations. This award acknowledges loyalty to the profession and the steady impact of educators who support learning and growth across generations of students.
The Commendation Medal recognises individuals who have performed commendable deeds or rendered valuable service to Singapore. In education, it honours teachers whose contributions, initiatives, or leadership have brought positive outcomes to students, schools, or the education community. The award reflects professional dedication and service beyond expected responsibilities.
President's Award for Teachers (PAT)
The President’s Award for Teachers is the highest national honour in Singapore’s teaching profession. It recognises educators who demonstrate exceptional teaching practice, deep care for students, and sustained contributions to the education community. Recipients are role models who inspire students, support colleagues, and contribute beyond their classrooms through mentorship, leadership, and service. The award reflects a teacher’s professional mastery, strong values, and long-term impact on students and the wider education fraternity.

Outstanding Youth in Education Award (OYEA)
The Outstanding Youth in Education Award celebrates young educators who demonstrate strong professional potential, commitment to teaching, and a positive impact on students early in their careers. Recipients show enthusiasm for learning, dedication to professional growth, and willingness to contribute to school initiatives. The award highlights the importance of nurturing future educators who bring energy, ideas, and care to the profession.
Nominees should be teachers who:
- are born on or after 30 June 1989
- are presently in service in a primary or secondary school, a Junior College or a Centralised Institute
- have shown utmost commitment to the character, moral and citizenship development of students
- motivate, challenge and inspire students to bring out their full potential
- are reflective practitioners who model continual learning
- demonstrate deep passion for teaching, and are role models for the teaching profession

Caring Teacher Awards (CTA)
The Caring Teacher Award recognises teachers who demonstrate exceptional care, empathy, and commitment to students’ well-being. It honours educators who take deliberate steps to understand their students’ needs, provide guidance during difficult times, and create safe and supportive learning environments. This award affirms the importance of strong teacher-student relationships and the role of care in supporting students’ holistic development.

Nominees for the awards should fulfil the following criteria:
Be a full-time teacher in a primary school, a secondary school, or junior college/centralised institute in Singapore;
Possess at least three years of teaching experience in Singapore; and
Demonstrate exemplary character, initiative, integrity, altruism, and a proven record of service to their schools and students.

Innergy Awards
The Innergy Award recognises teachers and teams who introduce innovative practices that improve teaching, learning, or school processes. It celebrates collaboration, creative problem-solving, and the thoughtful application of new ideas to enhance educational outcomes. This award reflects a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, where educators work together to refine practices and strengthen learning experiences.
Innovative projects that enhanced Teaching and Learning and/or Work Processes implemented between _______ will qualify for submission for the MOE Innergy (Schools) Award 2025.

Inspiring Teacher of English Award
The Inspiring Teacher Award recognises teachers who have made a significant and positive difference in students’ lives through passion, dedication, and meaningful teacher-student relationships. It honours educators who motivate students to believe in themselves, overcome challenges, and develop confidence and a love for learning. Inspiring teachers go beyond academic instruction by nurturing curiosity, resilience, and a sense of purpose in their students.

LEAP Award
The LEAP Award recognises educators who demonstrate commitment to continuous professional learning and effective application of new knowledge to improve teaching and student outcomes. It affirms the value of reflective practice, skills upgrading, and lifelong learning. Teachers recognised under LEAP actively learn, engage with professional communities, apply new strategies, and perform with impact in their classrooms and schools.
