21062021 site update: added 2 links under "Useful Links"
Dear colleagues,
Time really flies.
For the last 5 years, we have been working to explore the affordances of ICT in teaching and learning and assess the ways in which ICT is used to support the learning of our students. In the process, some of us would have expanded our horizons and explored and “uncovered” the world of knowledge and skills with our students. I think many of us can attest that ICT has brought profound changes to almost all aspects of education and the pace of change is showing no sign of slowing. Thus, “learning, unlearning and relearning must become the new norm”. As educators, we must possess this drive to want to innovate and transform, knowing that content and skills can become obsolete in time.
Having said all that, this year’s ICT Bootcamp will centre on “Embracing innovation and Empowering innovative mindsets”. This is in tandem with the aims of Student Learning Space (SLS), a collective effort from schools to leverage on IT to aid in learning and share best practices. At the Bootcamp, you will be given the time and space to kickstart the SLS conversation where you can discuss your lesson design and the use of online tools to make thinking visible. You can also tap on the resources in this site. They were carefully selected and curated to support you in your quest.
As we trudge together along the journey of lifelong learning, let us remain open and curious. Let us make rich and deep connections.
Do have a fruitful workshop and come away with greater insights!
