Cyber Wellness
Classroom Management and Routines
The school has put in place classroom management and routines for all students using the PLDs.
Some of the routines are as follows:-
All Chromebooks are to be kept in the lockers if the students are not in the classrooms.
All Chromebook covers are to remain closed when the teacher is not using the personal learning devices.
Students are to ensure that the battery is fully charged for the day.
Teachers are provided with Classroom Management Service to support teaching and learning in class.
Cyber Wellness Education
MOE has made significant changes to the Character and Citizenship Education syllabus to educate students on Cyber Wellness where cyber wellness lessons will feature significantly to enable students to navigate in a safer manner in the digital environment.
Topics covered in the Cyber Wellness lessons include:

Cyber Wellness in Maris Stella High School
Our school sets aside time and space to raise students’ awareness of cyber-related issues and develop relevant competencies to help them navigate the cyber space in a safe and responsible manner. These include:
Reinforcing of the acceptable norms for cyber use and interaction during
- CCE lessons (e.g. cyber etiquette, respecting copyright);
- class-based discussions of cyber wellness and related issues (e.g. what to do when they encounter cyberbullying); and
- daily use of PLD in class.
Participation and engagement in
- Cyber Wellness Week activities planned and led by the student leaders; and
- School-based cyber wellness programmes organised by school’s partners/ vendors (e.g. IMDA).
Device Management Application (DMA)
The Device Management Application (DMA) software, Mobile Guardian will be installed on all students’ devices to provide a safe learning experience for your child, and to prevent misuse of the device.
