Racial Harmony Day
Our children celebrated Racial Harmony Day by coming to school dressed in ethnic attire from different cultures. Through exploring traditional games, trying on various cultural outfits and tasting different foods, the children learned to respect one another and appreciate Singapore’s diverse cultures.
LIFE@MK WoW Exhibition
To conclude the children’s Weeks of Wonder (WoW) project on Art, each class created exhibitions based on the topics they had explored. Every child contributed to both an English Language and Mother Tongue Language exhibition together with their teachers.
Parents were invited to visit the exhibitions, where the children proudly guided them through their learning. The exhibitions were both insightful and interactive, allowing parents and children to try out activities together and discover what the different classes had explored.
Learning Journey to the Peranakan Museum
To begin the provocation process for the children’s Weeks of Wonder (WoW) inquiry, they visited the Peranakan Museum to explore Singapore’s cultural arts. The children discovered art through architecture, batik prints and fashion, and learned how these art forms have been preserved and passed down through the years, even though they may be less commonly seen in Singapore today.
World Book Day
Our children celebrated World Book Day by dressing up as their favourite book characters and taking part in a lively fashion parade around Fengshan Primary School. Parent partners also collaborated with the teachers to perform and bring the story We’re Going on a Bear Hunt to life!
Hari Raya Celebrations
Our children joyfully celebrated Hari Raya in school through a variety of festive activities. They made honey cornflakes and enjoyed them as a snack in their classroom, danced to lively music, and visited other classrooms decorated for the Hari Raya celebration. They also participated in activities planned by Fengshan Primary School, including ketupat weaving, card-making and a short Hari Raya quiz.
Open House 2026
Parents and children visited our school to learn more about the MK curriculum and what their children will experience in a MK class. They also had the opportunity to engage in hands-on activities with their children at the different activity stations, making it a meaningful and interactive experience for families.
Singapore Sustainability Visit
Our children had the opportunity to board the Singapore Sustainability exhibition bus, where they learned about the importance of caring for the environment and adopting sustainable habits. Through interactive displays and hands-on activities, such as making their own bookmarks, the children explored simple ways they can help protect the Earth.
Chinese New Year Celebrations
Our children joyfully celebrated Chinese New Year in school through a variety of festive activities. They enjoyed traditional Chinese New Year snacks, watched an exciting lion dance performance, and came dressed in colourful ethnic costumes.
Total Defence Day
In commemoration of Total Defence Day, our children took part in meaningful activities to learn about caring for the community. The K1 children went on an awareness walk and showed their appreciation to members of the community by distributing flowers. Meanwhile, the K2 children visited the Trans Service Centre at Bedok, where they had the opportunity to interact with the elderly and spread warmth and joy through their visit.
Family Day at Coastal Playgrove
Families had an enjoyable time participating in various games and activities together, making it a wonderful day of bonding, outdoor fun, and shared experiences. Through the different activity stations, parents and children were able to work together, explore new challenges, and create meaningful memories as a community. It was truly a joyful and memorable day for everyone involved
K1 Get To Know You & K2 Welcome Back
Our K1 children spent their first day in school getting to know their teachers and classmates, while teachers also had the opportunity to connect with parents through fun activities together. Meanwhile, our K2 children enjoyed special welcome-back activities with their teachers as they kicked off the new term.
