Our staff rounded up the school year of 2024 with an exhilarating visit to the Asian Civilisations Museum.
In teams, staff members were tasked with cracking a slew of mind-crunching puzzles, riddles, and scavenger hunts. The day was saturated with hands-on activities that required a keen eye, quick feet, and most important of all -- exceptional teamwork!
In the midst of solving the 'mystery', our staff was also able to glean the history of Singapore and our neighbouring countries through the countless artefacts spread throughout the museum.
The engaging museum-wide escape hunt brought out plenty of laughter, teamwork, and friendly competition, while also offering a fun and interactive way for staff to learn more about the rich history and cultural heritage showcased at the Asian Civilisations Museum.
At the end of Semester 1 (2024), our teachers went on a learning journey to JEWEL, Changi Airport to learn more about innovation from the Changi Airport Group (CAG).
The Learning Journey started off with an engaging and fruitful seminar led by CAG manager, Mr Kuah. The seminar touched on the various innovations implemented by CAG to enhance the efficiency and user/staff experience at Changi Airport.
Our teachers were then given the opportunity to explore the Changi Experience Studio. From the interactive NFC-controlled exhibitions to the themed mini games, the Studio was definitely a thrilling and educational capsule of Changi history.
Our teachers returned to Innova feeling inspired to innovate!
2023 Staff Retreat at Singapore Discovery Centre
To close off the year, our staff visited the Singapore Discovery Centre for an afternoon of exciting hands-on activities. Our staff learned more about Singapore's history and urban landscape as they raced to solve puzzles and complete various tasks.
“I really enjoyed working together with my fellow educators in a non-school setting. It was such a fun way to get to know each other and bond.”
"I'm inspired to create a similar treasure hunt for my Social Studies classes!"
