Can I leave my Chromebook in school?
You are not to leave your PLD in the lockers overnight or over the weekend.
By default, you are to bring your PLD daily to school.
Can I charge my Chromebook in school?
You are to fully charge the device at home before the next school day.
How to login to my Chromebook?
Sign in using your Student iCON email address (full_name@students.edu.sg) and use the same password as the one used for Student iCON / Windows password / school Wi-Fi password.
How to connect to school Wi-Fi?
Click on the 'Wi-Fi Icon’ at the bottom right hand corner.
Connect to ‘pdlp@SSOE2023’ network.
Where to seek PLD support in school?
Located at IT Office (Level 2, Outside Staff Room 1 near MeExpression) is the first point of contact for support of the PLDs.
Services provided by the ICT Office include :
Trouble-shooting of Chromebook issues
Resolve connectivity issues
Installation of DMA
When does insurance and warranty coverage start?
Your insurance and warranty starts on the date which you have received your Chromebook.
Does the insurance cover the accessories too (e.g. styluses, keyboard cases)?
Insurance coverage is for the main device only and does not cover accessories.
How do I replace a missing accessory?
Parents/Students can buy replacement accessories from here.
Can students still send their devices to their contractors’ service centers for repairs after the end of the warranty period and how will the charges be imposed?
After the expiry of the device warranty period, students can still send their device to the contractors’ service center for repair. The charges quotation will be provided by the contractors’ service center and students/parents will have to assess the reasonableness of the charges and decide whether to take up the repair. Alternatively, students can consider going to other shops to perform the repairs after the warranty is over.
How long do I need to keep the device original packaging box before discarding it?
Please keep the device original packaging box for at least 7 days in case of any 1-to-1 exchange.
How to use camera function?
Touch the bar at the bottom of the screen and Swipe Up.
Type ‘Camera’ into the search bar that appears and select it.
What is the Chromebook shortcuts?
I cannot hear the audio after recording. What should I do?

Student iCON uses the IAMS (PLD / Student iCON / Windows) password.
* This password is the same as the computer login password in school and SWN@SSOE password

What is the naming convention for Student iCON email address?
The student’s email address will be based on <Full Name>@students.edu.sg
Any space in the full name will be replaced with an underscore.
Should the student’s full name have words such as "Bin" , “Bte” , “s/o” , "d/o" , they will not appear in the email address.
For cases where students share the same full name, we have added a numerical number (e.g. Jon_Tan_1, Jon_Tan_2) to differentiate their email addresses.
How can I log in to Student iCON?
Student iCON is web-based. Students can use their web browser in their internet- enabled computing or mobile devices to visit https://workspace.google.com/dashboard to access Student iCON
What are the default Google applications available for each level?
Please refer to the Student iCON Onboarding guide for the list of default applications. Any additions to the list of applications will be done after a review of the application and its relevance for use by our students.
What is the password policy requirement?
Please follow the password requirements below:
Password must be at least 8 character(s) long.
Password must contain at least 1 lowercase letter(s).
Password must contain at least 1 numeric character(s).
Password must contain at least 1 uppercase letter(s).
Password must contain at least 2 alphabetic character(s).
Password must not be longer than 24 character(s).
Password must not be one of 3 previous passwords.
Password must not match or contain first name.
Password must not match or contain last name.
Password must not match or contain user ID.
I have encountered one of the following problems:
Error AADSTS900561 given by the Google website.
Website does not load.
Website keeps refreshing between two sites without loading any page.
Website keeps refreshing itself without loading the page.
What should I do?
a) Check that the browser is supported by Student iCON by referring to the Operating System / Browser table above. Close the browser and reopen it. Navigate to https://workspace.google.com/dashboard and repeat the logging in procedure.
b) If the above does not work, use Incognito mode on your browser to login. Upon activating Incognito mode, proceed to https://workspace.google.com/dashboard and repeat the logging in procedure.
I receive the following message: Your account is temporarily locked to prevent unauthorized use. What should I do?
Inform your Form Teachers regarding this matter.
Student Learning Space (SLS)
How to login to SLS?
Click the following link to access SLS: https://vle.learning.moe.edu.sg
What is my username?
Your username will be based on <Full Name>@students.edu.sg

My SLS account is locked. What should I do?

I have forgot my password for SLS. What should i do?
There are 3 methods to reset your SLS password.
Method 1: Reset Password via Email
(Note: You can only do this if you have previously set a verified password reset email address.)
On the login page, click Forgot Password.
Enter your username. (First 5 characters of Full Name + Last 5 characters of NRIC)
Click Submit.
Select Send a password reset link to your email.
Click Submit.
An email with the password reset link will be sent to your email address.
Click the reset password link in the email.
The link is valid for 20 minutes.
If the link has expired, you can request another by repeating the steps above.
On the Reset Password page, enter a new password.
You will need to enter the new password twice to confirm that you have entered it correctly.
Click Submit.
Method 2: Reset Password via Answering Security Questions
In the login page, click Forgot Password.
Enter your username. (First 5 characters of Full Name + Last 5 characters of NRIC)
Click Submit.
If you are asked to select a method for password reset:
Select Answer the security questions.
Click Submit.
Note: You will be prompted only if you have set a verified password reset email address.
Otherwise, you will be brought directly to the Security Questions page.
On the Security Questions page, key in the answers to the security questions.
You must answer all 3 questions correctly before you can reset your password.
Click Submit.
If you answer any of the questions incorrectly, you will be brought to the Password Reset Unsuccessful page.
Click the Retry button to try again.
Your account will be locked if you exceed the allowed number of attempts for security reasons.
If you answer all the questions correctly, you will be brought to the Reset Password page.
Enter a new password.
You will need to enter the new password twice to confirm that you have entered it correctly.
Click Submit.
If your password has been successfully reset, you will be brought to the login page.
Method 3: Reset Password by filling up FormSG
Please fill up the form at https://go.gov.sg/sls-icon-pw-reset. Please allow 1-2 working days to process.
You will get a One-Time Password (OTP) via the email address that you have entered.
You will be prompted to change to a new password. Do update your contact details and security questions so that you can do a self-reset of your password.
I did not receive my password reset email.
When you use the Forgot Password feature to reset your password, an email with a password reset link will be sent to you. If you cannot find the email in your inbox, it may be in the spam folder.
Note: If the link has expired, go to the login page and select Forgot Password to request another link.
It is also possible that you have not entered and verified your email address. If that's the case, you may either use the security questions or approach a teacher to reset your password. Remember to key in an email address after that for future password reset.
If the problem persists, please contact the school's SLS Administrator.
Zoom
How to sign in to Zoom through Zoom App?
Launch Zoom App
Click 'Sign in with SSO' and type students-edu-sg
Enter your Student iCON email and password
You done!
How to sign in to Zoom through Chrome browser?
Click on Chrome browser
Type ‘https://students-edu-sg.zoom.us’ into the address bar
Click on ‘Sign In’
Enter your Student iCON email and password
You done!
