C. Administrative Matters

1. Purchase of Books (Online)

  • All purchase of books will be done online via the Pacific Bookstores online portal. You will first need to register for an online account with Pacific Bookstores before you can make the online purchase. You will also be prompted to select your preferred date and timing to collect your books in school. Secondary 1 online launch dates are open until 24 Dec 2022 for self-collection in school between 21 - 29 Dec 2022. Note:

  • Regarding SBB (Subject-based Banding): Please check and ensure that you purchase the books at the correct academic stream for your child/ward if he/she has accepted the offer to take up subject(s) at a more demanding level. There will be no refunds offered by Pacific Bookstores if the wrong books are purchased but exchange of books is allowed (books must be in good condition together with the order list).

  • If you are unsure, you can choose to purchase these books when school reopens with advice from the form/subject teacher. (Please refer to Other Important Matters segment for more information on subject offers).

  • Home delivery service is not available. Parents/Guardians are to select the date and session (i.e. morning 9 am to 12 noon or afternoon 1 to 3 pm) to collect their orders in school. The available dates for collection in school are indicated when you login to the Pacific Bookstore online portal to place your order.

  • You are highly encouraged to bring with you a printed copy of the book order list when collecting the books during your scheduled appointment for collection.

  • We seek the understanding of parents/guardians that walk-in purchase of books in school will not be available.

  • If you are unable to purchase books using the online portal, you may call the General Office at 6283 3381 for further assistance.

2. Purchase of Uniforms (Online, Purchase at School Site or at Retail Outlet)

Online Purchase via Home Delivery:

Purchase at HIHS School Site:

  • Do note that there is no trying of the uniforms due to the on-going Covid-19 situation.

  • Please bring the best fitted garment to compare and assist you in selecting the correct size for your child/ward.

  • Available modes of payment: Cash, PayNow, DBS PayLah!

  • Dates for purchase: 21, 22, 23, 28, 29 Dec 2022

  • Time: 9am to 3pm (Lunch break 12 noon - 1pm)


Purchase at Jeep Sing Fashion Retail Outlet:

  • Opening Hours: Monday to Friday, 10am to 6pm, Saturday, 10am to 2pm (Closed on Sunday and public holidays)

  • Important note: The retail outlet will be closed from 21 Dec to 23 Dec 2022 to facilitate sales of uniforms for Secondary 1 students at the school site. Please refer to Jeep Sing Fashion's website for more information.

3. Collection of Books and Uniforms for Students on MOE Financial Assistance Scheme (MOE FAS)

  • Students on FAS are not required to place online orders for books and uniforms. They will instead collect their books and uniforms physically and directly in school on 27 Dec 2022, Tuesday, between 9 am - 3 pm.

Note:

  • Students must apply for FAS to be eligible to collect books and uniforms in school. Refer to the information under Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS) Application.

  • For uniforms, there will be different sizes made available so that your child/ward can select suitable uniform sizes. Do note that there is no trying of the uniforms due to the on-going Covid-19 situation. Please bring the best fitted garment to compare and assist you in selecting the correct size for your child/ward.

4. Secondary Level School Smart Card (SSC)

  • While waiting for the Secondary Level School Smart Card (SSC) to be issued, Secondary 1 students can continue to use their Primary Level SSC for concessionary travel until the end of April 2023. For more information, you may refer to the link below:

  • Secondary 1 students can also purchase the Bus Concession Pass (BCP) using their Primary Level SSC but they would need to purchase BCP for Secondary School students.
