At SJC, students can look forward to an exciting ECG programme to help them discover their interests and develop their areas of strengths. Many in-school and out-of-school opportunities are provided for SJCians to gain exposure to various industries and gain a better understanding of the pathways available after secondary school. Together, these experience support students in making informed education and career choices.
Learning from the professionals
A variety of programmes expose SJCians to the world of work, such as interacting with professionals from different fields during visits to Post-Secondary Education Institutions and workplaces.
Exploring Post-Secondary Options
In addition to classroom sessions, talks and visits to Post-Secondary Education Institutes help students identify the pathways that are most suited to their aspirations and abilities.
Opportunities for Applied Learning
Applied Learning Modules (ApLMs) allow Secondary 3 students to apply knowledge in authentic contexts. Through the 3-day programme, students gain an understanding of the industry, and the skills and knowledge required in the field.
Student-Initiated Learning Showcase
Over the course of the year, time is set aside for students to pursue their own interests and pick up a new hobby of their choice. This encourages independent learning. At the end of the year, we celebrate their efforts in the Passion Ignite Showcase!
