Objectives of Work Attachment/ Internship
Work attachment/ internship opportunities are one of the signature mandatory experiences of the ETPS and aim to:
provide you with a positive early experience of the engineering industry sectors,
develop in you an identity and better understanding of the engineering profession, and
identify potential scholarship recipients of the Singapore Industry Scholarship (SgIS) or other agency undergraduate scholarships,
to inspire and encourage you to pursue relevant studies and a career in engineering.
Application Period
June and Dec Work Attachment/ Internship
Applications will commence in February.
MOE will notify scholars of the application results in end-April to early-May.
Application Process
1. Application
Submit your applications with a video introduction and a CV. Indicate your ranked preferences of engineering disciplines and companies/agencies in your application. MOE will disseminate applications to indicated companies/agencies.
2. Assessment
Companies/agencies assess your suitability against all applicants. Companies/agencies may arrange for interviews directly with you (optional, depends on company’s or agencies’ preference).
3. Offers and Acceptance
You will be matched to companies/agencies in order of best match, taking into account both your ranked preference and suitability for the company/agency. You will be notified of the outcome of application by email. The role that you would be taking up within the company/agency during your internship will be decided by the company/agency.

(ii) What do you hope to gain from the experience?
