In Cedar, we believe in student agency, that students have the ability and the will to positively influence their own lives and the world around them. Therefore, opportunities are provided for students to make and shape their schooling experiences both inside and outside of the classroom.
In particular, we have a robust student leadership framework where students are given opportunities to work in teams to influence and shape what Cedar is like for them as well.

Monitresses across the classes aim to lift the school values with their activities. They help strengthen Cedarians' sense of belonging and unity.
Promoting an active and healthy lifestyle to the school community, SHLB encourages teamwork and camaraderie among students and even teachers.
We believe that every Cedarian that passes through our doors has areas of strengths that can be nurtured. We believe in providing a conducive environment for all Cedarians to explore their interests and discover their passions.
Using the framework of the 3Es - Exposure, Experience and Extension - our students are exposed to different areas of interest, have opportunities to experience multi-disciplinary work and extend their learning through in-depth inquires.
The STEM Talent Development Academy aims to develop students with an interest and aptitude in the Sciences and Mathematics through an inquiry based approach to hone their scientific thinking. By building up a deep understanding in their areas of disciplines, students are given the opportunity to apply their skills and knowledge in an authentic setting through a science-based research programme.
The Social Innovation Talent Development Academy aims to develop students’ sense of empathy and creativity to address social issues of today. Building on their experiences under the Social Innovation and Research Curriculum, students have the chance to deepen their learning through authentic experiences. This includes local and overseas learning journeys, hearing from social innovators and working with industry mentors to be exposed to the new ideas and skills required to solve the important issues facing our society today.

The Humanities Talent Development Academy aims to nurture students with a love for the Humanities who are able to utilise their disciplinary understanding to make sense of the world around them and learn to become critical thinkers who could navigate the ever-changing world around them. Through an interdisciplinary programme where students are able to broaden their horizon in authentic learning environments, it seeks to develop their passions and creativity.
The Regional Studies Programme (RSP) aims to nurture a group of students who are conversant in Malay Language and sensitised to the cultural, socio-economic and political developments of the ASEAN countries. Through the learning of Malay Special Programme (MSP) as their third language and experiential learning opportunities, it seeks to develop students’ understanding and experience of cultures in the region.
