Registration for our Secondary 1 will be done electronically.
The information for e-registration was sent to parents via Parents Gateway (PG) on Wednesday, 20 December 2023. Please respond to the PG notification by Friday, 22 December 2023. (updated: 20 Dec 23)
Purchase of Books and Uniforms
Online Purchase
Online purchases of books and uniforms with self-collection are strongly encouraged. Should you prefer to do self-collection of books and/or uniforms in school, you are encouraged to book an appointment time to collect the purchases in school to reduce waiting time. Please refer to the following information sheet for details on uniform purchase and the Sec 1 booklist attached here for more information on book purchase.
Self-Collection of Books and Uniforms
All visitors should enter the school via the main gate. Please make alternative arrangements to collect your purchases if you are feeling unwell. Refer to the dates and timings below for walk-in purchases and/or self-collection of books and uniforms in school during the December break:
Online Order start date: 20 Dec 2023 at 9.00am
Online last day of order: 25 Dec 2023 by 11.59pm
Walk-in Purchase: 26 Dec to 29 Dec 2023
Additional Notes:
Purchase of books for SBB can be made when school reopens at the school bookstore and upon confirmation of the SBB subjects.
Should you make a wrong purchase, you may approach the bookshop or the uniform supplier to seek an exchange. Kindly note that the books and uniforms have to be returned in their original condition. Books should not be wrapped and written on. Uniforms should not be worn or washed.
Students may still purchase your uniforms during the first two weeks of school in school.
A temporary nametag will be issued to Sec 1 students on the first day of school. More details on the ordering and purchase of permanent nametags will be shared during the first week of school. Permanent nametags can be purchased at $3 for a set of two pieces.
MOE Financial Assistance Scheme
Parents/ Guardians who would like to apply for MOE Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS) can download the application form or apply online here.

Please submit your completed application form and all required supporting documents by Friday 22 December 2023, if you would like to be considered for financial assistance under MOE FAS for the full year from January to December 2024.
Our General Office staff will contact the successful applicants.

Secondary School Smart Cards
All students entering Secondary One in January 2023 will be issued with a new Secondary level School Smart Cards (SSC) later in 2024.
Students can continue to use their Primary Level School Smart Cards (SSCs) for concessionary travel till April 2024. Students can still purchase the Bus Concession Pass (BCP) using their Primary Level SSCs but they would need to purchase the BCP for Secondary School students.
Annual School-based Health and Dental Services
The Health Promotion Board (HPB)’s School Health and Dental Services will be conducting its annual health screening, immunisation, and dental services for your daughter. These services ensure the protection of your child’s health and early detection of health issues.
Parents/Guardians will need to give their consent before your daughter/ward can receive these important health and dental services. More information and the link to provide consent will be given on Tuesday, 2 January 2024, through Parents Gateway.
Appeal for School Transfer
a. Appeal to transfer out of SJC based on serious medical conditions
For appeals due to serious medical conditions or severe physical impairments, please apply at SJC and note the following points:
All appeals must be submitted by Thursday, 21 December 2023, 12.00pm. The appeal results will be released in early January.
All appeals must be accompanied by relevant supporting documents, such as medical reports, letters from doctors.
Students seeking transfers should continue to attend school at SJC until their transfer is approved.
Transfers are subject to vacancies at the requested transfer school.

b. Appeal to transfer into SJC
If you are seeking a transfer to SJC, you may click here to submit an appeal.
Kindly note the following points:
Appeals to transfer into SJC must be submitted by Friday, 22 December 2023,12.00pm.
Your child’s PSLE aggregate score should meet SJC's cut-off point of the posting year.
Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
Transfers are subject to available vacancies and the school's admission criteria.
