Shelby's House

Artist Statement:

We created this artwork using fabric, shoe boxes, cardboard, and bubble wrap. It serves as a home for Shelby, the character residing within. The house features a star-gazing deck with a ladder for access. Inside, there is a bed, a breakfast table, and a bookshelf. A wall painting made from washi tape adds to the decor. Designed for children aged three to ten, this dollhouse can be enjoyed by anyone.

Vending Machine

Artist Statement:

We aimed to craft a portable toy suitable for all ages to enjoy. We selected a vending machine as it offers both amusement during creation and relevance to people's everyday routines. This artwork stands out due to its portability and eye-catching design. Moreover, it serves as an engaging plaything for children that can be incorporated into their daily activities. We fashioned this sculpture with the intention of injecting an element of play into our daily lives. After all, vending machines consistently hold surprises!

Our House

Artist Statement:

To us, this artwork is unique because it is a sculpted model of the house we all live in. Our group has created this sculpture to express our gratitude for the fortunate things in our lives, such as our house. We decided to use various colors in the painting to convey our sense of happiness!
