"When I was tasked to paint “My Beautiful Singapore”, I was reminded of Bishan Park and McDonalds featured in this year NDP song “Shine Your Light”. I stay near Bishan Park and visit the park almost every evening to kick football with my neighbourhood friends who are of different ethnic background. McDonald’s is also my favourite fast food although I have to remind myself to eat in moderation. Both are happy memories of my childhood and what makes Singapore beautiful in my view, against the backdrop of the warm HDB neighbourhood."
