Over 80 schools (including more than 20 overseas schools) participated in the International Elementz Fair. For the 210 teams from these participating schools, our 17 judges have finalised the following results:
32 Gold, 35 Silver, 27 Bronze
Please click on the following link for the results:
We have compiled the project materials of the Gold award teams (from schools which have given permission during registration to share their school's projects after judging).
We hope that this sharing can give more students exposure to the research and prototyping projects that were done by their peers from other schools. Please refer to the link below for the project materials:

Three ASRJC student alumni (Tan Yung Zhen, Justin Neo Boon Shuan, Ong Chee How; refer to picture below) collaborated with Prof Sow Chorng Haur of NUS (left most in the picture) to work on a research project titled “Artistic Transformation of In2O3 Nanowires via Focused Laser Painting” in 2019. The team won Silver award in the Singapore Science and Engineering Fair (SSEF) 2020 with their project.
After which, the team continued to push further to develop the work into a full paper, led by Dr Poh Eng Tuan of NUS (right most in the picture). The paper was published in the Journal of Materials Chemistry C and was featured on the cover page of the journal.
Congratulation to the team for the successful publication of the paper. We would also like to thank Prof Sow Chorng Haur and Dr Poh Eng Tuan for the time and effort in guiding and supporting our student alumni throughout the project.

(Thailand School) Mahidol Wittayanusorn School,
(Vietnam Schools) Bui Thi Xuan High School, and the Vinschool group of schools.
The science research skills workshop was successfully concluded on 3rd May 2023. The workshop serves to equip students with essential skills in doing science research and writing a science research report.
We thank our presenter Mdm Resma for conducting the workshop. Please feel free to view the recorded video below.
ASRJC conducted three STEM enrichment workshops for our students in 2023. The aim was to allow students to explore STEM beyond the curriculum, even if they are not studying the corresponding subject. ASRJC would like to share the lesson plans with your school.
1. Impossible Balance - Explore "Stability" through the making of "impossible structures"
2. The Hot and Cold of it - Design a thermal pack and explore the chemistry of it
3. The World of DNA - Explore DNA through DNA extraction
We hope that your school can also conduct the workshops for your students. The resources can be found in the following link: https://tinyurl.com/asrjcstemacademy2023
