General Questions
Does Anglican High School offer the six-year Integrated Programme?
No. Anglican High offers a holistic quality 4-year programme leading to the GCE ‘O’ Levels examinations, with most of our students achieving stellar ‘O’ Level results which provided them the passport to qualify for post-secondary options of their choice. In the four years of education in Anglican High, your child’s learning will be stretched through the different programmes that develop their 21st Century Competencies empowering them to be future-ready.
Does Anglican High have affiliation with any other institutions?
Yes, Anglican High School is affiliated to Saint Andrew's Junior College (SAJC). Secondary 4 graduands have 2 bonus points for entry to SAJC.
Anglican High School is a mission school. Does that mean that all students must be Christians?
No. Our students come from diverse backgrounds and religions. All MOE schools are secular schools. Anglican High School is a mission school grounded on Christian beliefs and values.
What are the school hours like for a Secondary One student?
School starts at 7.45am everyday. Lessons usually end at 1.30pm with the exception of one day at 3.15pm.
What CCAs are available in AHS? Is it compulsory for students to join at least one CCA in the school?
There are 21 CCAs available at AHS, catering to different interests in the sports, performing arts, uniformed groups and clubs. Do check out the CCA pages to find out more! CCAs are an integral part of our students' holistic education. Through CCA, students discover their interests and talents while developing values and competencies that will prepare them for a rapidly changing world. CCA also promotes friendships among students from diverse backgrounds as they learn, play and grow together. Participation in CCA fosters social integration and deepens students' sense of belonging, commitment and sense of responsibility to school, community and nation.
What is the nearest MRT Station to the school? What are the bus services available?
Tanah Merah MRT Station is the train station that is nearest to the school. Anglican High School is served by a number of bus services. They are 2, 9, 12, 14, 24, 25, 31, 35, 38, 45, 46, 47, 48, 222 and 506. Please refer to the page on Plan Your Visit for more details.

What is the cut-off point for Anglican High School?
The cut-off point varies from year to year. The PSLE score range is 6(M) – 14(P) for the 2023 Sec One cohort, and 4(D) - 12(P) for 2022 Sec One cohort.
Note: Higher Chinese Language Grade: (D) = Distinction (M) = Merit (P) = Pass
Offering of Mother Tongue Languages
Can students offering other Mother Tongue languages apply to the school?
No. Anglican High School is a Special-Assistance Plan (SAP) school. All students enrolled must offer Higher Chinese or Chinese.
Can my child offer Higher Chinese as an examination subject in Anglican High?
Students posted to Anglican High can offer Higher Chinese as an examinable subject if they are given a Higher Chinese eligibility letter by Ministry of Education. As a SAP school, Anglican High School strives to give all our students a bicultural educational experience.
Can my child offer Higher Chinese if he/she is not given a letter by MOE?
Your child will be assessed on his/her performance in Chinese in Secondary One. If he/she has done exceptionally well in Chinese, he/she will be offered to do Higher Chinese in Secondary Two with the recommendation from his/her Chinese teacher.
Offering of Third Languages
What third language is offered at Anglican High?
Malay Special Programme is conducted at AHS itself. The programme will prepare pupils for the MSP examination at GCE ‘O’ Level. MSP lessons are held after school. Students offering other 3rd Languages, such as Japanese and Bahasa Indonesia, will attend lessons at MOE Language Centre (Newton or Bishan).
What is Conversational Malay?
All students will attend Conversational Malay lessons, within curriculum time. This is a non-examinable subject that teaches students basic Malay. This is not a third language subject.
