Founded in 2001, the Anglo-Chinese (Barker Road) Drama Club is a vibrant space where students explore the many possibilities of theatre. Through weekly sessions, we provide an encouraging environment for students to discover their voice, creativity, and confidence.
Here, students are exposed to a wide range of theatrical experiences. They learn fundamental performance skills such as characterisation, movement, improvisation, and script interpretation. Beyond acting, students also explore scriptwriting, gaining opportunities to develop original stories and bring them to life on stage.
Our members are also introduced to the technical aspects of theatre, including stage management, lighting design, sound operation, and backstage coordination. This holistic approach allows students to appreciate both the artistic and behind-the-scenes elements that make a production complete.
Whether they are performing, writing, or working behind the scenes, students in Drama Club grow as communicators, collaborators, and creative thinkers, embracing drama as a space to express themselves and build meaningful connections.
