About ACSBR Drama CCA

Welcome to the vibrant world of Anglo-Chinese School (Barker Road)'s Drama CCA, where creativity meets social consciousness. Established in 2001, our Drama CCA has been dedicated to using theatre as a powerful tool to address pertinent social issues. Socially conscious theatre forms the backbone of our mission, as we believe in the transformative power of drama to provoke thought, inspire change, and amplify voices that often go unheard.

Over the years, our ensemble has actively engaged with various platforms to advocate for social change and raise awareness about pressing issues. In 2019, we participated in the M1 Peer Pleasure Youth Theatre Festival, where we delved into the theme of "Poverty in Singapore," sparking conversations and reflections within our community.

In 2023, as part of the Singapore Youth Festival, our team embarked on a journey to explore the complexities of masculinity and the nuances of friendship. Through our energetic and expressive performances, we strive to create a space where hopes, aspirations, and heartfelt explorations of our journey in school and life converge.

As an all-boys ensemble, we are driven by a shared passion to impact change and unravel the intricacies of humanity through the magic of theatre. Moving forward, we are excited to continue our journey, pushing boundaries, challenging perceptions, and amplifying our hopes and dreams on stage and beyond.

Join us as we embark on this exhilarating quest to make a difference, one powerful performance at a time!
