Magic Tricks
Session Dates: 16 and 23 August 2024
Personal Growth:
How did you feel when you first attempted a magic trick? What did you learn about yourself in the process?
when i first attempt magic trick it was very hard but was really fun.
Which magic trick challenged you the most, and how did you overcome that challenge?
How has learning magic tricks helped you step out of your comfort zone?
it helped me to ask questions whenever i do not know how to do the magic trick. As it was my first time doing magic tricks so everything was new to me. So there were many things i did not know how to do. Instead of trying to figure it out on my own and giving up at the end , when is still do not know how to do after trying it on my own , i asked the for help.
Application of Skills:
In what situations can you use your magic tricks to bring joy to others?
I can use magic tricks to bring joy to others during a party. The magic trick will surprise my friends and excite them.I can also use it to cheer someone up. If someone is feeling down we can do a magic trick for her and surprise her and it may be able to help them stop thinking about their worries and feel happy
How can the patience and practice needed to perfect a magic trick be applied to other areas of your life, such as schoolwork or friendships?
We can apply it to when we are doing our homework or when we learn something new. Sometimes when we learn new things or doing our homework, we do not understand some stuff and need to practice a lot before we understand it. We can apply patience to friendship as time is needed to be closer to our friends. And sometimes we need to be patient to our friends and help them.
How can performing these tricks in front of others help you build confidence in public speaking or other performances?
Performing magic tricks can help build confidence by being able to do the magic tricks correctly and confidently just like how we are able to do it when we are practising. It will also help us to overcome the pressure and be confident. Performing magic tricks can help build public speaking by explaining the magic tricks while we are doing the magic tricks. When we perform magic tricks we need to be able to explain what we are doing so that the audience know what is going on.
Future Growth:
How can you continue to develop your skills in magic and performance arts as you grow older?
I can continue to develop my skills in magic and performance by practising the magic tricks regulary and i can also search videos online to learn new magic tricks
What other new skills would you like to explore in the future, and how can the courage you gained from learning magic help you in that journey?
Matthew 5:16 (NIV): "In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."
This verse aligns with the "Made for Future: Performer" badge, emphasizing the importance of using your talents, such as performing magic tricks, to be a light to others and glorify God.
Please record a video of yourself doing the tricks that you have learned.
Colossians 3:23 (NIV):
"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters."
This verse reminds us that learning, working, and exploring new skills—like during the Yakult factory tour—can be done with excellence and purpose when we see it as part of God's plan for our lives.
What do you already know about Yakult or the probiotic industry?
What are you curious to find out about how Yakult is made or how a factory operates?
What do you think are some important skills needed to work in a food manufacturing company?

What new skills or knowledge did you discover from the factory visit?
Did this tour help you realise any of your own interests or talents (e.g., science, health, technology, communication)?
What qualities (e.g., patience, attention to detail, teamwork) do you think are needed to work in this industry?
Did this experience make you more interested in exploring a career in food science, production, or health? Why or why not?
What was one challenge you observed or imagined workers at the factory might face? How do you think they overcome it?
How did this experience help you develop courage or patience in trying or learning something new?
If you could ask one of the staff a question about their job, what would it be?
