For Admission to Polytechnics
To be eligible for admission into a polytechnic course, you must meet these 2 criteria:
Your ELR2B2 net aggregate score must not exceed 22. The exception is the Diploma in Nursing, whereby your ELR2B2-C net aggregate score must not exceed 24.
Meet the minimum entry requirements (MER) of the course that you are applying for.
Changes to Polytechnic Year 1 Admission Criteria from 2028
Admissions to Polytechnic Foundation Programme (PFP)
Students offering G2 subjects, G3 subjects, or a mix of G2 and G3 subjects will be allowed to access PFP
For purposes of admission to PFP, the requirements for English, Math, the ‘Relevant’ [R] subject and ‘Best’ [B] subjects will be mapped at the G2 level, instead of G3.
The minimum G2 grades are indicated in the table below.
