MOE Local Pre-University Scholarship
Application for MOE Local Pre-University Scholarship is open from now till 27 February 2023.

User Guide
A) MOE Pre-University Scholarship
A) MOE Pre-University (offered to top students who have achieved outstanding academic results and excelled in co-curricular activities)
Eligibility:
i) Singapore Citizen or Children of Singapore Citizen;
ii) Not more than 8 points in GCE O-Level Examination for English Language + Mother Tongue / Higher Mother Tongue + 5 relevant subjects as in Pre-U Admission Criteria;
iii) Good record of co-curricular activities;
iv) Currently not in receipt of any MOE scholarships (except Edusave scholarships)
Terms and conditions:
Cash allowance
Remission of school fee at Singapore Citizens' rate, subject to annual cap of $2400
Tenable for 2 years, subject to satisfactory academic performance at JC1 and good conduct
Not required to enter into a bond to serve the Singapore Government
B) Engineering and Tech Programme Scholarship
B) Engineering and Tech Programme Scholarship (ETPS; offered to students who have strong foundations in Mathematics and Science, with an inclination towards applied, interdisciplinary and hands-on learning)
Eligibility:
i) Singapore Citizen;
ii) Have done consistently well in school and have obtained outstanding overall results in the 2022 GCE O-Level Examination;
iii) At least A2 for a Mathematics and a Science subject;
iv) Good record of co-curricular activities, particularly in STEM areas;
v) Currently not in receipt of any MOE scholarships (except Edusave scholarships);
vi) Must offer H2 Mathematics and at least 1 of the following subjects
H2 Physics
H2 Computing
H2 Further Mathematics
Terms and conditions:
Cash allowance
Remission of school fee at Singapore Citizens' rate, subject to annual cap of $2400
Tenable for 2 years, subject to satisfactory academic performance at JC1 and good conduct
Not required to enter into a bond to serve the Singapore Government
All awardees are expected to fulfil the following.
Participate in the 1-week ETPS Flagship STEM workshop to be conducted between late December of first year and mid-January of second year of scholarship
Participate in a work attachment/internship programme in June or December of second year of scholarship
Awardees are also strongly encouraged to participate in a hands-on engineering related project or learning activity of students' choice within the duration of the scholarship. Examples include Engineering Innovation Challenge, Singapore Science and Engineering Fair or equivalent.

This is a prestigious scholarship launched this year. Scholars can look forward to exclusive STEM workshops by universities and internship or work attachments in the private or public sector.

C) National Elective Tamil Language Programme Scholarship
C) National Elective Tamil Language Programme Scholarship (NETPS) (To encourage academically able and linguistically talented students who have already studied the relevant subject up to O-Level to pursue the subject at H2 level under the Language Elective Programme.)
Please approach Umar Pulavar Tamil Language Centre (UPTLC) for the programme and scholarship information.
Eligibility:
i) Singapore Citizen
ii) Have done consistently well in school and have obtained outstanding overall results in the 2022 GCE O-Level Examination
iii) At least B3 in Higher Tamil OR B4 in Higher Tamil and B3 in Tamil Literature or A2 in Tamil
iv) Successfully admitted into UPTLC
v) Good record of co-curricular activities;
vi) Currently not in receipt of any MOE scholarships (except Edusave scholarships)

Tenable for 2 years, subject to satisfactory academic performance at JC1 and good conduct
Not required to enter into a bond to serve the Singapore Government
Compulsory to offer H2 Tamil Language and Literature
D) Language Elective Scholarship (French, German, Japanese & Spanish)
D) Language Elective Scholarship (French, German, Japanese & Spanish) (To encourage academically able and linguistically talented students who have already studied the relevant subject up to O-Level to pursue the subject at H2 level under the Language Elective Programme.)
