Inisiatif Makanan Waktu Rehat (IMWR) is a special project aimed at helping urban poor SPIRAL students who aren't able to financially afford food for break time. Under this project, SPIRAL funds are used to give the student an ID card which in turn can be used to buy food worth RM3 at the school Koperasi on a school day basis.
So far, this innitiative has helped 5 students since its inception in 2025.
A field trip to nearby places of worship will usually be organized by the community to allow students to learn about other faiths and also gain more knowledge about their own. Due to MOE's rules and regulations when chaperoning students, the Worship Team Leaders as well as senior students in their respective stream (Main stream & Form 6) are given priority to join field trips.
The Worship Team Leadership Camp is usually held by the Christian community in the first quarter of the year to train worship leaders. During this half day 'camp' students are brought together to build frienship as well as learn how to lead fellowship and programs.
Our Cultural Exchange Fellowships are aimed at giving students insights and understanding of different cultures in Sarawak and Malaysia. These sessions will be organized by the students, with teacher's coming in as speakers. The aim is to foster better understanding, respect and knowledge among community members of different cultures. Currently such sessions are held for Chinese New Year, Gawai Dayak, and Deepavali.
In the third quarter of every year, students sitting for public examination like SPM and STPM will be given stationaries to encourage them to study for their respective exams. These stationaries will be blessed by their respective communities before they are given out to the students.
Our Student Appreciation Ceremony is held once every year, usually at the end of the school term, to show appreciation to students who had worked hard to organize, and run SPIRAL activities throughout the year. During this ceremony, all non-Muslim students are provided with breakfast and gifts for a job well done throughout the year.
The school's funding is limited to suppoprt all our programs. Teachers have been generous enough to contribute to ensure all our programs could run, but we do appreciate help from anyone.
