Come along as I move into the world of flipped learning and uncover how it reshaped my approach to teaching. With the help of videos, visuals and personal reflections, I’ll share the ups and downs of this transformative experience. Discover how my classroom evolved and how shifting the focus to student-centered learning opened up new ways to connect, engage and grow alongside my students.
I currently teach primary school students. As a teacher for kids, I realised that kids really love colourful visual and new technology in teaching and learning session. So I used our school computer laboratory to show them some videos regarding our topics for that day. In class, we use microphone and speaker to let them to speak in class. And also to sing the song in the textbook.
Yes, it does. Different background of students will definitely have different levels of impact on students. If students watch videos at home, it helps with reviewing content, but doesn’t offer much interaction or deeper understanding on its own. If students use online quizzes, i will give another experience for the students.
A flipped classroom is a learning method where students study the lesson at home using videos or materials, and then do activities and discussions in class to understand better with the teacher's help.
Flipped classroom can be used by giving students videos or notes to study before class. Then, in class, teachers can do group work, discussions, or hands-on tasks. This helps students use what they learned and get help if they don’t understand. It also makes learning more active and interesting.
