Submissions can be accessed in three ways:
★ Navigate from the notification email: You will be notified via email for each submission. The email will include a scoring deadline, typically two weeks following submission. Please notify us within 1 business day if you are unable to accept the submission for review.
★ Navigate within Moodle: Submissions are generally available in the Grade Me Block but will occasionally be delayed in posting. If this is the case, please try accessing the submission by navigating to the Leadership Pathways course submissions.
If you are unable to locate a submission to which you have been assigned, please email credentials@modernclassrooms.org.
Interaction with applicants is typically limited to feedback on the submission.
★ Leverage the Activity Entry Form to notify the applicant of an inaccessible document or links. Applicants will be notified to make updates and submit a revised attempt. You may be paired with the applicant when they resubmit.
★ Email the applicant for additional context: If you feel additional context is necessary to more thoroughly review a section, you may reach out to the applicant directly. Use the email address listed at the top of the submission page. Copy and paste the conversations where applicable in the feedback section(s) and submit activity entry.
Occasionally, a submission requires revision and resubmission whenever:
★ Any element of the submission is missing: if the applicant omits instructional videos, progress trackers, evidence of lesson classification, or other required artifacts of implementation, mark the criteria as needs revision.
★ Any section of the submission template is inaccessible, empty, or missing: a key piece of the submission is context. If an applicant omits narrative, mark the criteria as needs revisions.
Scoring Expert Mentor applications take time, and we want to pay you for your expertise!
★ Plan to spent approximately one hour on each application. Over time, scoring becomes quicker.
★ Use the mentor activity entry form for each submission reviewed. Applicants must score 45/50 to have a passing submission. Any applicant scoring less than 45 points will be notified of the revision process.
★ On the activity entry form: Select, Credentialing Program (DMCE) >> DMCE Application Review.
Select the applicant’s name from list
For scores 45/50 or greater, select “Approved."
For scores 44 or below, select "Revise."
Or, select “Inaccessible document," or "Inaccessible links," where applicable.
