Is painting tile or backsplash a good idea?
I think it will be very helpful to anyone considering a budget-friendly kitchen remodel or a simple kitchen makeover. Painting tile backsplash is a great option and easy project for anyone that is on a budget, a time constraint or both.
Tile Painting process:
first clean tile with a sponge and a degreaser cleaner to clean tile and to aid adhesion.
mask and cover all surfaces that are not to be painted. Create a plastic bubble in the room that we are working in.
Apply 1 coat of primer (it has to be primer to paint vynil,porcelain, and other hard surfaces)
Apply caulking to seal any cracks or gaps from grouting.
Apply first coat of paint and set up a fan to keep ventilated
Slightly sand any rough spots,vacuum then apply second coat.
Finally clean up trash in black trash bags and vacuum any debris and leave as it was before.
