Exhaust Capture

Each worksite that houses apparatus has one of two options for managing vehicle exhaust:

Option A: Plymovent (tradename) exhaust capture. The vehicle exhaust is captured in the tube and expelled to the outside. Around the 2020? ALL outbuildings and other enclosed areas that housed vehicles were upgraded to include plymovents using grant funding. 

Option B: The BCC & Wheaton Rescue Squads have an exhaust system that activates automatically based on carbon monoxide levels in the structure. When a vehicle is started, the system senses this and large fans are activated to exhaust dirty air to the outside.
