Over the course of their four years at MNSD, all STEM Academy students will engage in:
Rigorous Academic Programming: Completion of at least 4 Advanced Placement (AP) courses, with 3 focused on math, science, or computer science is expected, ensuring foundatioal mastery of college-level STEM concepts.
Collaborative Learning Communities: Membership in a supportive, high-achieving cohort of peers who share a passion for innovation, problem-solving, and STEM exploration.
Specialized STEM Electives: Opportunities to explore advanced topics like Engineering, Entrepreneurship, Audio Engineering, Health Services, Gaming and eSports, and more.
Field Experiences and Real-World Exposure: Participation in hands-on learning through field experiences and partnerships with universities and leading STEM organizations.
Access to Advanced STEM Facilities: Opportunities to visit state-of-the-art labs, technology, and resources designed to support high-level inquiry and design-based learning.
Global Competence in STEM: Engagement with real-world problems aligned to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, fostering both technical and ethical problem-solving skills.
Connections Beyond High School: Opportunities to attend STEM-focused camps, conferences, and competitions, and to build relationships with mentors in the STEM field.
