COURSES MUST BE ENTERED INTO SKYWARD BY MIDNIGHT ON FEBRUARY 28TH!
You are all making adequate progress towards your MSA graduation requirements, but please review the MSA graduation requirements and register for your 12th grade courses appropriately.
Biology, Chemistry and Physics are the required science courses to graduate. If you have completed these courses already, you do not need to take a science course in 12th grade. However, you may want to take a science elective course which can include any of the AP science courses.
Calculus is required to graduate from MSA, you may have already met this requirement. However, if you plan to continue on to a 4-year college, it is recommended that you take a math course in 12th grade. This can include AP Calculus, AP statistics or a math course through PSEO.
If you request a semester course you will want to make sure you are selecting another semester course so that your schedule is full for the entire school year.
12th grade students have the option to take up to 1 study hall.
Part time PSEO students: Decide which classes you want to take at MSA and register for those courses now.
If you do not request courses by February 28th, elective courses will be chosen for you.
How to Enter Course Requests into Skyward:
Complete the Class of 2027 Registration Form first. This will help as you enter courses online.
Once you have planned out your courses for the 25-26 school year:
Go to mnmsa.org
Log into your STUDENT Skyward/Family Access account. * Parents cannot schedule through their account.
Click on “Schedule” on the left side of the screen. Then click “Request Courses for 2025-26 School Year”.
Select the course in the left hand column, then click add course to move it to the right hand column.
A full schedule will require 7.0-8.0 credits (depending on if you add a study hall).
The "Alternate" tab allows you to choose alternate elective courses - These courses will be substituted if there are scheduling conflicts with your first choice electives. Please make sure to fill in 2.0 credits worth of alternative options.
Your scheduling choices save automatically, so you do not need to click any “save” buttons. You are also able to go in and change your course requests as often as needed until midnight on February 28th.
