Welcome Back, Families. We are so happy to see all of the students.
Please feel free to contact your school health office with questions or concerns.
Please be sure to complete your student’s Annual Health Update through the PowerSchool portal. We are happy to provide a paper copy if needed.
All medical plans should be updated for the new school year. Please contact your student’s doctor for new Asthma Action plans, Allergy Action Plans, and Seizure Plans.
If your student is new to our district or has had updated immunizations, please forward a copy to your student’s school health office.
School attendance is vitally important to student success. Please connect with your school nurse if you have questions related to a medical issue and your child’s school attendance.

Families can visit the Bus Information page on our website for general transportation information such as bus rules, weather decisions, and bus routes.
We ask all students to be ready at the bus stop 5 minutes before the scheduled pick up time.
Families are asked to contact their student's school to request a bus pass when transportation is needed to locations other than home.
Two hour early release days: All drop offs are approximately two hours earlier than usual.
Families are encouraged to contact the transportation department at any time by calling 802-899-4840 or emailing transportation@mmuusd.org.
Belonging grows when students immerse themselves in the world around them. While many of our student-athletes are already building teamwork and camaraderie on our fields and courts, September opens up a wealth of additional opportunities for middle and high schoolers to get connected, share their talents, and broaden their circle.
Participating in clubs allows students (athletes included!) to explore new passions and build relationships across different grade levels. As parents and caregivers, your encouragement is often the spark that helps a student take that first step:
Middle Schools: Club sign-ups are kicking off this month! Encourage your child to listen to morning announcements and explore what’s on offer.
MMU High School: The annual MMU Student Club Fair is scheduled for Wednesday, September 16th. It’s the perfect, high-energy venue for students to walk around, meet peer leaders, and sign up for groups that spark their interest.
Whether your student wants to balance sports with a second interest or is taking their very first step into an extracurricular, now is the time to jump in.
For our first podcast of the 2026–27 school year, tune in to Parts 1 and 2 of our multi-part series on BELONGING. We sit down with two inspiring parent group leaders, Marie Claire Johnson (Brewster-Pierce Memorial School PIE) and Andrea Parikh (Underhill Central School PTO), to break down the ins and outs of Partners in Education, the power of school traditions, and the crucial work caregivers lead outside our campus walls.
We are partnering with MMU, BRMS, and CHMS parents and caregivers to support health and wellness throughout or school community. This fall, please join Sam Riden, LCMHC, for caregiver-led conversations surrounding the book, What Do You Syy: How to Talk with Kids to Build Motivation, Stress Tolerance, and a Happy Home. Come to one or all to connect with one another, ask questions and share your thoughts about the book. Books are free for parents and caregivers with a student enrolled in the MMUUSD for the '26-'27 school year. Please contact Sara Mabley, MMUHS's SAP Counselor, for your copy. Availability is limited.
For the 2026-2027 school year, MMUUSD is continuing to provide a unique opportunity for parents and caregivers to access individualized support and consultation focused on caregiving for adolescents. ALL are encouraged to access this resource that is FREE to MMUUSD parents and caregivers.
Around the District:
Belonging isn’t just a district goal, it’s built in the small, everyday moments across our school community. This month, we ventured throughout our district and visited hallways across every campus to capture real, candid answers to a simple question:
“What makes you smile or feel welcome at school?”
BRMS:
Pairing an active communal space like the new four-square court with the quiet, reflective 5-bench seating area near the river ensures that BRMS students - whether energetic or introverted - has an intentional space where they feel comfortable, included, and a sense of belonging in Raider Nation.Click on any school logo above to watch and hear directly from our MMUUSD students and staff!
