Five Towns, One Heartbeat | Month at a Glance

Short on time? Here are the top 5 takeaways to get you up to speed and on your way:

Embracing Curiosity & Growth: This month’s district theme highlights student curiosity in the classroom and long-term growth across our five towns. Be sure to check out the "Around the District" video and theme song linked in the newsletter for a quick, uplifting look at our schools in action!

Planning for Our Future ("Curiosity in Action"): To thoughtfully plan for long-term growth, MMUUSD is examining facility needs and demographics across Jericho, Richmond, Huntington, Bolton, and Underhill. Join us for a community open house in your town this November to share your thoughts and help shape what comes next.

No School for Conferences (Oct. 22 & 23): Mark your calendars - there is no school on Thursday, October 22nd and Friday, October 23rd for Parent-Teacher Conferences, a wonderful time to connect with teachers on your child’s progress.

School Board Meetings: The School Board meets at 6:30 PM on October 12th (at BPMS) and October 26th (at UCS).

Farm to School Month & Community Health: October is National Farm to School Month, highlighted by a special visit from Senator Peter Welch to celebrate our local food programming! Our food service team is serving up fall favorites like fresh apple cider, local squash, and Maple Oaties, while our health offices remind families to stay current on seasonal flu, COVID-19, and RSV vaccinations.
