The MMM held their first ever career fair on March 7th from 2:30PM to 5 PM at the Kerala Center in Elmont, NY. The event brought together students and young professionals for an afternoon of gaining insights, networking, and relaxation. Participants had the wonderful opportunity to connect with experienced mentors, gain practical advice, and explore a variety of career paths. The event also offered support with resume building, shadowing opportunities, internships, as well as volunteer opportunities across various fields. All while celebrating and embracing the community’s Tamil identity and the progress we all have made. Career Fair aimed to empower young participants with the tools, experiences, and connections they need in order to succeed in their future careers.
Professionals from diverse fields were present at the fair. With disciplines ranging from Medicine, Business, Engineering, Law, Health, as well as dance. As people walked around table to table, the speakers presented practical ways and explained more about their respective careers.
