Dear MMI Preparatory School Community,
In our creative writing elective class this year, we decided we wanted a way to show the creativity and passion of our students, so we produced MMI’s literary magazine, Angst. We’re thrilled to showcase the various talents of our upper school students, ranging from dramatic, emotional poetry to elaborate visual arts and thought-provoking essays.
Our goal is to showcase the diversity of our students and their creative talents. One way we accomplished this is by taking works that relate to the events of the current year. For example, the painting we chose for our cover is a beautiful horse by Kaetlyn Gera, completed as a project for her Chinese class, which celebrated the year of the horse.
As you flip through the pages of the magazine, we hope you take in the words you see in our different works and admire the talents of our students. We’re so grateful for everything because this couldn’t have happened without your support. We sincerely thank you for your help in strengthening our community and allowing us to show off the hard work of our students.
Sincerely,
Kayleigh Erickson
