ZOOM Lessons are protected through a unique passcode system to ensure that no other person other than a student is in the Lesson. No student is required to use a camera, however, they must respond promptly and intelligibly when requested. Parents are allowed to interact in our First ZOOM Lesson for 30 minutes and in our Second ZOOM Lesson for 15 minutes, however they must be side-by-side with their child. We ask that students be prepared to provide their unique passcode to move from the isolated watingroom to the group ZOOM Classroom. Sharing the unique password results in automatic dismissal from the course.
Google Classroom students will be invited to the Google Classroom and links and codes will not be disseminated. Because of the number of school districts involved in our course, we will be using Mr. Wallace's Google Classroom rather than Mount Markham's. (Please create a gmail account for your child if he or she does not already use one.) We ask that parents provide a gmail address for their child to avoid having to disseminate links and codes.
On-Site Driving Instruction Mr Wallace will be present, monitor and supervise all stops (food vendor/restaurants/museums/historic sites, breaks for restroom/change drivers). Parents are requested to be on hand 5 minutes earlier than the end of the drive time to pick up their teen driver.
Phone Number Parents will receive my personal phone number. You will receive text messages/phone calls from me throughout the course when necessary. Students are not allowed to have this number. The 315-557-8180 number is not my personal number, but one I use only to take phone calls for new enrollees/questions about the course.
Email Parents and Students will be placed into separate email groups. There will be certain occasions when I will be sending out group emails. The instructor will CC students into all email correspondence with students, and we ask that students CC their parents in all correspondence with the instructor. Likewise, we encourage parents to CC their child in correspondence with the instructor when it is prudent to do so.
