Air Force Junior ROTC The Science of Flight
The Mission of Air Force JROTC is to develop citizens of character. MLHS Air Force JROTC instructors accomplish this mission with the assistance of Cadet Corps leadership by providing leadership and development opportunities for all students. Air Force Junior ROTC class academics focus on Aerospace and Leadership Education. In The Science of Flight, students will become acquainted with the aerospace environment, weather, the human requirements of flight and the principles of navigation. Students must volunteer to be in the Air Force Junior ROTC program and there is no military service obligation.
CREDIT HOURS: Full-Year - .5 Lab Science & .5 PE; Partial Year - .5 Elective Credit

Cadets in the Air Force Junior ROTC program have the opportunity to participate in after school competitive extracurricular activities such as: Color Guard, Marksmanship, Indoor/Outdoor Drones, eSports, SpecOps/Fitness, StellarXplorers, and other opportunities. Cadets also have the opportunity to compete for the JROTC Flight Academy (earn a Private Pilot License).
