Alice in Wonderland Jr. 

Fall down the rabbit hole with Alice as she navigates the curious world of Wonderland on a journey of self-discovery. Let's play together in this 60-minute stage adaptation of the classic Disney animated film and the Lewis Carroll story!


Open to both performers (rising 4th through 8th grade) and volunteer crew (rising 7th grade through high school). 


Students will have the opportunity to rehearse and perform in the state-of-the-art Mountain Lakes High School Theatre. 


This camp will culminate in three performances to provide students an opportunity to share their experiences, discoveries and new skills with their families, friends and community. There will be a professionally recorded show video provided for souvenir/archival purposes.

Students will be assigned a role to help with running the production such as Assistant Director or Stage Manager.

Meet the Directors

Michael Hollick

DIRECTOR

Michael Hollick is a veteran Broadway actor and educator with two children in the Mountain Lakes Schools. He has run a Theatre Camp every summer for the elementary level, and works closely with the high school casts of the MLHS productions. He has taught acting master classes at Sacramento Theatre Company, Louisiana's NOCCA Arts Conservatory, and University of New Mexico. 


On Broadway, he's starred in Tarzan, Jumpers, and The Lion King. He spent a decade with the Off-Broadway experiential Argentinian shows De La Guarda and Fuerzabruta (original cast), and has traveled the globe extensively with both shows. A seasoned veteran in live corporate events, Michael has choreographed, directed, produced and performed for industry clients such as Redkin, Canon, and bio-pharmaceuticals AstraZeneca, Celgene and Sanofi-Pasteur. His television credits include "Law and Order", "Sex and the City" and "Hawaii Five-0". He also performed both motion capture and voice for the anti-hero Niko Bellic in the critically acclaimed video game Grand Theft Auto IV, which broke industry sales records by earning $500 million in the first week of its release and earned him a Video Game Award for Best Performance.

Judy Kolek

DIRECTOR

Judy Kolek is a classically trained opera singer and high school theatre director in Mountain Lakes. She has experience both performing and directing shows at various levels and has been teaching theatre throughout New Jersey for 6 years. 


Throughout her career as a performing professional, Judy has traveled throughout the tri-state area performing roles with the Garden State Opera, Schola Cantorum on the Hudson, NYC Opera, Papermill Playhouse, Manhattan School of Music, Caldwell University, and many more. Judy made her professional debut with the Garden State Opera in the world premiere of Francesco Santeli’s Il Negozio and since has performed starring roles in operas such as Donizetti’s L’Elisir d’Amore, Mozart’s L’Oca del Cairo, Die Zauberflöte, and Le nozze di Figaro, Puccini’s Il Tabarro and Suor Angelica and musicals such as Newsies, The Fantasticks, West Side Story, A Little Night Music, Beauty and the Beast, The Sound of Music, and Carousel. Judy has also performed the title roles in touring Children’s Opera Outreach productions of Little Red Riding Hood, The Tiger of Chungshan, and the Happy Prince throughout Essex County. 

Laura Menard

VOCAL MUSIC DIRECTOR

Laura Menard is a voice teacher, vocal coach and musical director in New Jersey and New York City. She holds a B.M. from The New England Conservatory of Music and has done graduate work at The Juilliard School. For 8 years she was the director of The Children’s Chorus at The New York City Opera Company, and she has taught at Brooklyn College, Mannes School of Music and Juilliard American Opera Center. She has many students on Broadway in shows including Hamilton, The Phantom of the Opera, Wicked, The Lion King, Fun Home, Kinky Boots, Finding Neverland, Matilda, Fiddler on the Roof, White Christmas, On The Town, Jersey Boys and Mary Poppins.
