Member of Institute of Sport and Remedial Massage ( I S R M )
My interest in sports massage developed from 15 years of dance training, and working with various therapists who were helping me maintain optimal physical performance, as well as providing injury prevention and rehabilitation. Now I'm using all that experience working as a therapist myself. Being a dancer developed my strong interest in the human body bio-mechanics, and so it influences my approach to addressing any musculoskeletal issues, big and small.
I use various soft tissue techniques, but also look at postural correction, and movement re-education as part of the treatment, with the overall goal to re-create a healthy, and efficient body movement that can be maintained in the long term. My clients range from office workers to triathletes and dancers, but in each case the treatment is tailored to suit individual abilities and needs.
I continue my professional development by attending CPD courses, workshops and conferences, but also through a practical research, continuing my dance training, and practicing yoga.
