Hello everyone! My name is Stephen Torres, and I was born and raised in Yuba City.  My parents are from Jalisco, Mexico, and I am the first in my family to graduate from college. I am a middle child, with an older brother and two younger sisters. My family is very close, and we all support and encourage each other to pursue our goals and dreams. One of my dreams was to go to college and learn since I've always loved learning. 

I graduated from River Valley High School in 2013, and I went to Yuba College for three years (I earned my associates in natural science). I attended Georgia State University, and due to COVID, I moved back to California and finished my bachelor's degree in geoscience at Chico State in 2022. Finally, I recently earned my Masters in teaching and my credential from Chico State in 2023. I did my student teaching at Gridley High School, and I am excited to be a teacher at South Lindhurst High School.
