Hi my name is Star Saunders and this will be my 4th year at MHS and my 15th year of teaching. I have taught all sorts of art classes including sculpture, photograpy, painting, drawing, and drama. My absolute favorite thing to teach is Ceramics to teenagers. I first started working with clay at the age of 12 when I was in the 6th grade. I attended Sacramento State and received my bacheolr's degree in Art as well as my teaching credential. I received my Master's degree in Art Education from Lesley University.

I orginally grew up in the Bay Area (San Leandro) and moved to Sacramento as a teenager.

When I am not teaching or working with clay I enjoy rollerskating, hiking, camping, reading, and spending time with my family and friends. I love watching movies and shows. Stranger Things, Bob's burgers, and Harry Potter are just a few of my many favorites.
