How to Support Your Student

1. Sign up for an Aeries Portal account. Make sure both you and your student has access. Contact the school to set this up if you do not have one. Aeries will allow you to track all assignments turned in and scored. Please be aware that the majority of this class is writing and it will take me a little longer to grade some assignments.

2. Google Classroom. You can register as a "Guardian" on your student's Google Classroom, which will allow you to see the assignments posted. 

3. Communication. If you and/or your student have questions, please reach out. I do my best to respond timely. Email is the best and fastest way to contact me. 

4. Help your student stay organized. Find what works best for your student, whether that may be one binder with tabs for each class, or separate folders for each subject. Encourage your student to use their school planner and write down their assignments for each class. 

5. Reading reminders. Students should be reading a novel of choice for at least 20-30 minutes per day.
